Future educators invited to attend career fair

LAWRENCE — The University Career Center at the University of Kansas will have its 12th annual Education Career Fair from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the Kansas Union Ballroom.

The event is open to students and professionals interested in learning more about career opportunities in PK-12 education. Attendance is free, and no pre-registration is required.

Candidates in all areas of PK-12 education, including elementary and secondary education, speech-language pathology, special education, school social work, counseling, administration and school psychology, are welcome and encouraged to attend, explore job opportunities and network with school administrators from more than 40 school districts in Kansas, Missouri and from across the country.

“Whether you are just beginning your program or are a soon-to-be graduate, the Education Career Fair is an excellent event to learn more about career opportunities in PK-12 education and connect with representatives from school districts and education-related organizations from across the country,” said Melissa Johnson, assistant director at the University Career Center.
