Media advisory: KU to announce eight-figure transformational gift for the School of Business

WHAT: University and School of Business leaders, KU Endowment and a donor will join in a celebration to announce a historic gift for the KU School of Business.

WHEN: 1:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4. Please arrive no later than 1:20 p.m.; the event will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Kemper Foyer in the Lied Center of Kansas, 1600 Stewart Ave., Lawrence.

WHO: KU Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little, Neeli Bendapudi, dean of the KU School of Business, the donor, and Kurt Watson, chair of Far Above: The Campaign for Kansas.

MEDIA:

• The media are invited to attend.

• University officials and the donor will be available for media interviews after the ceremony.

• Because of road repairs, it would be more convenient to approach the Lied Center by turning west on 19th Street off of Iowa Street. Then turn right onto Constant Avenue and follow the road to the Lied Center. Parking is in front of the Lied Center.
