Chancellor will honor scholastic achievements of area high school students
WHAT: A celebration of the academic achievements of Lawrence’s top high school sophomores and juniors.
WHO: University of Kansas Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little, more than 100 students representing the top of all four Lawrence high school classes, students’ families and guests.
WHEN: May 14, 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m.
- 4:30 p.m. Meet-and-greet with student honorees, Chancellor Gray-Little, KU students, staff and administrators.
- 5 p.m. Formal remarks of congratulation and encouragement from Gray-Little and Rodi Torres-Gavosto, a current KU student and Goldwater Scholar.
WHERE: Spooner Hall, 1340 Jayhawk Blvd.
MORE INFORMATION: A local jazz trio led by Tommy Johnson Jr. will play at the event.
