"Audio-Reader is an important service that brings information and companionship to the blind and visually impaired in Lawrence and around the state. I’ve really enjoyed being a part of the tournament,” Hadl said.
The Kansas Audio-Reader Network exists to provide print-disabled citizens with access to the printed word and other information via closed-circuit radio and telephone reader broadcasts, internet, special request and audio-description of live theatre. Services are provided free of charge to enable print-disabled persons the opportunity to live their lives with the greatest possible personal independence.
“Thanks to the help of John Hadl and many supporters, the Audio-Reader golf tournament has become an event we are really proud of,” said Janet Campbell, Audio-Reader executive director.
