Media advisory: Journalism professor can discuss Brian Williams' suspension

LAWRENCE — A University of Kansas journalism professor is available to speak to media about the suspension of Brian Williams, "NBC Nightly News" anchor and managing editor. Williams was suspended for six months without pay by NBC News following revelations that he made false claims about his experiences covering the war in Iraq.

He can discuss what the Williams suspension means for NBC News, the media as a whole, the allegations surrounding Williams, the ethical problem of journalist dishonesty and related topics.

Marsh has published books and journal articles on the relationship between classical rhetoric and modern public relations, strategic writing and related topics. To schedule an interview, contact Mike Krings at 785-864-8860 or mkrings@ku.edu.
