LAWRENCE — The Kansas Audio-Reader Network is now accepting donations of gently used audio equipment, vinyl records, CDs, books on CD and musical instruments. Donated items will be sold at Audio-Reader’s annual benefit sale, For Your EARS Only, which will be Sept. 11-12 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the blind, visually impaired and print-disabled individuals who use Audio-Reader’s services. The most popular items at the sale are rock 'n' roll records, turntables and vintage audio equipment.

Donations can be brought to Audio-Reader, located at 1120 W. 11th St., or to Sound Innovations, 1501 W. Sixth St. Donations will also be accepted starting next month at KCUR, 4825 Troost St., Suite 202, in Kansas City, Missouri.

For more information about donating items to For Your Ears Only, call 785 864-4600 or visit the Audio-Reader website.

The Audio-Reader Network, a public service of the University of Kansas, is a free reading and information service for anyone who cannot read conventional print because of blindness or any other visual, physical or learning disability.
