University community remembers Stephen Lambert

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas community is remembering information technology colleague Stephen Lambert, who died Aug. 27 in Lawrence. He was 56.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of one of our valued staff members,” said Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little. “On behalf of the entire KU community, I offer my sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues at KU. We wish them comfort during this difficult time.”

Lambert was an IT manager at KU for nearly 20 years.

“My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends,” said Bob Lim, KU’s chief information officer. “Steve made many contributions to KU IT and the university over the past 18 years, and he was a mentor and friend to many people.”

Funeral services are today in Lambert’s hometown of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
