Ceremony will commemorate 15th anniversary of 9/11 attacks
LAWRENCE — Fifteen years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the University of Kansas community will remember the event with a ceremony on the Lawrence campus.
The memorial will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at the Campanile Plaza. The ceremony will include a flag presentation by ROTC students, remarks from Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Chief Mark Bradford, lighting of candles and tolling of the Campanile bells.
The event is sponsored by ROTC, Military Graduate Programs and the Office of Public Affairs.
