KU announces new Emergency Management coordinator

LAWRENCE — University of Kansas Public Safety has announced that longtime employee Andrew Foster will serve as the Emergency Management coordinator.

Foster previously served as an Emergency Management specialist. He conducts emergency preparedness trainings and coordinates drills, preparedness fairs and other events.

“Andrew’s background in emergency management and his wealth of experience with the specific needs within the KU community will be a great asset,” said Chris Keary, chief of police for KU Public Safety. “I look forward to him continuing the important work of emergency management on the Lawrence campus.”

Foster served in the U.S. Navy as a fire control radar technician. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2011 from KU.
