Residence halls plan family-friendly Halloween event

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas Daisy Hill Commons, Lewis and Hashinger residence halls will be the sites of Halloween in the Halls from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Activities, crafts and games will take place in Daisy Hill Commons and Hashinger Hall. Trick-or-treating will take place in Hashinger and Lewis halls. Scholarship hall students will join their residence hall friends to distribute candy.

Halloween in the Halls is sponsored by the Association of University Residence Halls, All Scholarship Hall Council, National Residence Hall Honorary and the Apartment Living Association.

KU Student Housing is home to about 5,100 students across the KU campus. It offers three kinds of academically focused communities: residence halls, scholarship halls and apartment living. Student Housing offers leadership opportunities, community involvement and a trained and supportive staff.
