December ceremonies celebrate KU graduate students

LAWRENCE — Hundreds of graduate students at the University of Kansas will complete their degrees and graduate this month. Recognition ceremonies across the Lawrence campus will celebrate these fall-semester graduates as the School of Business, the School of Education and the School of Engineering host events dedicated to commend the students' achievements.

The spring doctoral hooding ceremony will celebrate all students who complete a doctoral degree this academic year. Doctoral candidates from every school on the Lawrence campus and the KU Medical Center will be invited to participate. The Doctoral Hooding Ceremony will take place Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the Lied Center.

August and December 2016 doctoral graduates, as well as May and August 2017 doctoral degree candidates, are eligible to participate in the May 13 Doctoral Hooding Ceremony. Because the large number of graduates and guests, registration is mandatory, and guests require tickets. Visit the Graduate Studies website for information about the registration process and tickets.
