Community invited to Writers' Faire on May 4
LAWRENCE — The First and Second Year English program at the University of Kansas has announced a showcase of student writing projects, highlighting participants' talents, imagination and achievement.
Co-sponsored by the Department of English, The Writers’ Faire will take place from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at The Commons in Spooner Hall.
While traditional academic writing will be on display, other kinds of texts will be exhibited as well, including zines and comics, chapbooks, websites and blogs, children’s books, video essays, public service announcements, photographic essays and posters.
Students and instructors will be on hand at the free event, which is open to the campus and Lawrence community.
