KU community invited to farewell event for Vice Chancellor Caboni

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas community and KU friends throughout the region are invited to a farewell event for Tim Caboni, vice chancellor for public affairs, as he moves to his new position as president of Western Kentucky University later this summer.

The event will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 1,  in the Allen Fieldhouse Donor Atrium. RSVPs are not necessary.

“Tim has done remarkable work on behalf of the University of Kansas during the past six years and been instrumental to our efforts to elevate our national stature and advance our goals through high-level public affairs work,” said Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little. “Beyond his efforts and achievements, we can also be grateful for the passion and energy with which he has approached our work over the years.

"As he leaves to begin his new role at Western Kentucky, he can be proud to have left KU better than he found it. I hope the whole KU community can join us June 1 to thank him, celebrate his work and wish him well on the next step in his life and career.”

Caboni begins his new role as president of Western Kentucky University on July 1.
