KU Surplus now selling directly to general public in-person

LAWRENCE — For years, KU Surplus has sold reusable furniture and office supplies directly to University of Kansas departments and, in many cases, to the general public via online auction sites. Now, KU Surplus can sell directly to the general public in-person at the Surplus office.

To search available furniture and supplies, individuals can visit the KU Surplus office at 1851 Westbrooke St. from 8-10 a.m. Tuesdays and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays.

Individuals can also visit the Surplus website to view inventory. KU Surplus currently has chairs, filing cabinets, desks, bookshelves, tables, cubicles and other items available at discounted rates.

KU Surplus, a unit within Procurement Services, offers reusable furniture and office supplies from the Lawrence campus in accordance with the KU Surplus Property Recycling Procedure. By working with campus departments, the general public and local nonprofits, KU Surplus is able to redistribute surplus that would otherwise be discarded.
