Hall Center announces new Mid-Career Research Fellowship

LAWRENCE – The Hall Center for the Humanities has announced a new research fellowship opportunity for faculty in the humanities and humanities-oriented social sciences.

The Mid-Career Research Fellowship is open to tenured associate professors and provides a full academic year of release time from teaching and regular service obligations as well as an office in the Hall Center. This fellowship helps midcareer faculty to stay engaged in research and writing by undertaking a post-tenure research project of the kind required for promotion to full professor. Applicants will need to demonstrate that their teaching, research and service as an associate professor are on track for promotion to full professor.

This award is made possible by support of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, which assures fellows will receive their regular salary during the entire year of the fellowship.

For more details, including specific eligibility criteria and application components, visit the Hall Center’s website and click on the “Funding” tab. The deadline for applications is Oct. 12. All applicants must apply via the Hall Center’s online competition portal.

Please direct any questions about this new fellowship to Hall Center Director Victor Bailey or Associate Director Sally Utech.
