KU in the news
The Washington PostFri, 05/15/2015
What is the wingspan of a Jayhawk? At Commencement 2015 we found out. Some graduates were walking — flying — down the hill with arms around each other’s shoulders. Others lifted their hands to the sky with exultant shouts. Fist pumps, high fives, and bear hugs. This was a day to greet with open arms. They wouldn’t make the sleeves of graduation gowns so oversized unless they wanted us to spread our wings. What is the wingspan of a Jayhawk? Wide enough to soar to the great heights that await us.
