Nominations are open for Student Employee of the Year


LAWRENCE — The University Career Center (UCC) is accepting nominations for the University of Kansas Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) award. Nominations are open until Feb. 5. The award recognizes student employees who embody service excellence, dedication and stellar academic achievement. Any supervisor may nominate up to three students for the award.

Students must meet the following criteria in order to be nominated for the 2020-2021 award:

  • Full or part-time enrollment (degree seeking) through spring 2021
  • Undergraduate or graduate student classified as a student hourly
  • Employed by the unit for a minimum of six months part-time or three months full-time between June 1, 2020, and May 31, 2021 (anticipated)
  • 2.5 minimum GPA

The winner and all nominees will be recognized during a virtual ceremony at 3 p.m. April 13. The Student Employee of the Year will be awarded $500 and entered into the National Student Employee of the Year competition.
