QuikTrip CEO to speak at KU
LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas School of Business will kick off its spring calendar of public lectures with a presentation by the chairman, president and CEO of QuikTrip Corporation. 
Chet Cadieux will present “QuikTrip: A Values Based Business” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Lied Center. The lecture is free and open to the public.
With annual sales in excess of $11 billion, the regional gasoline and convenience store company, based in Tulsa, Okla., operates 670 stores, with more than 14,000 employees, primarily in major cities including Tulsa, Kansas City, Wichita, Des Moines and St. Louis, among others.
Cadieux began his full-time career with QuikTrip after graduating from the University of Tulsa in 1989 with a degree in business.
QuikTrip was founded in 1958 by Chester Cadieux II and is now the 26th largest privately held company in the United States. It has spent the last decade on Fortune magazine’s list of the 100 best companies to work for in America.
The presentation is part of the Dean’s Executive Lecture Series, in its fourth installment, and aims to showcase leaders who offer unique perspectives to business and commerce. Former speakers include the chief executives at Turner Entertainment and the Kroger Co.
