Tech Tuesday an invitation to meet inventors, entrepreneurs


LAWRENCE — KU Innovation and Collaboration (KUIC) and the Bioscience & Technology Business Center (BTBC) will host a free networking event from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22. Tech Tuesday is an opportunity to showcase to possible collaborators KU technologies that have market potential.

The event is sponsored by the Kansas City law firm of Stinson Leonard Street LLP. Refreshments are provided, and registration is requested at the KUIC website.

Group presentations will feature four KU technologies:

  • Prevention and therapy for colon cancer;
  • Treatment of polycystic kidney disease;
  • Tethered hovering platform for surveillance; and
  • Smart system for battery charging.

Tech Tuesday will take place at the BTBC Main Facility, 2029 Becker Drive, on the West Campus Research Circle. KUIC licensing staff will present partnering opportunities in several leading areas of research. You can meet inventors and mingle with entrepreneurs, investors and business executives.

KU Innovation and Collaboration is the bicampus technology commercialization office of the University of Kansas. It manages KU’s intellectual property, licensing and start-up company activities, and it leads the university’s economic development mission.
