KU will offer Virtual Career & Internship Expo on Feb. 17

LAWRENCE — The University Career Center is hosting its annual Career & Internship Expo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17. This virtual event will feature more than 100 employers from across the country that are recruiting for full-time and part-time jobs and internships.

Current University of Kansas students, KU alumni and other individuals seeking early career opportunities are welcome to attend. Industries represented at the event include health care, education, technology and government as well as nonprofits, transportation and insurance. A list of attending organizations is available here.

"We are excited to offer the Career & Internship Expo virtually this year. Industry-leading technology has been secured to facilitate online conversations between our students and employers. We hope students will take advantage of the opportunity to meet many of the 100 or more employers interested in hiring Jayhawks," said David Gaston, assistant vice provost for academic success.

Those interested in participating should create a profile at Career Fair Plus, the virtual event platform. The next step is scheduling 10-minute, one-on-one appointment with employers. Appointment times, which are open now, can be scheduled with multiple employers, depending on their availability.
