Faculty, staff, students asked to complete training on sexual harassment, violence

LAWRENCE – In an effort to create a more informed and engaged campus community, the University of Kansas is calling on all faculty, staff and students to complete required online training on sexual harassment and sexual violence.

Beginning Sept. 4, all KU faculty, staff and students will be emailed login information to complete a brief online training module titled "Sexual Harassment & Sexual Violence: What you don't know CAN hurt you!" This required training will take no more than 20 minutes. It must be completed by Oct. 5.

"This online training is a small but important step to ensure that KU is an equitable and safe campus community for everyone," said Fred Rodriguez, vice provost for diversity and equity. "I want to thank everyone in advance for their efforts in supporting and encouraging their colleagues to participate in this important training initiative. What makes KU special are our people, and that's why I'm confident we can have all faculty, staff and students complete this required training by the Oct. 5 deadline."
