Renowned performer Heather Harpham to visit KU

LAWRENCE — In partnership with the University of Kansas Department of Theatre, The Commons will host writer and performer Heather Harpham as Artist in Residence March 23-27. While on campus, Harpham will give two public presentations, lead a demonstration with students and perform her most recent solo show, "BURNING," which relies on movement, song, images, and spoken word to address climate change through a lens of comedy, tragedy, activism and cautious optimism.

Harpham has taught physical theatre and improvisation at many universities and conservatory programs, including Sarah Lawrence College, State University of New York-Purchase College and Muhlenberg College.
