KU administrator appointed to national graduate enrollment management board


LAWRENCE — Amanda Ostreko, assistant dean of graduate studies, will serve on the Governing Board of Directors for the Association for Graduate Enrollment Management.

NAGAP, a professional organization of approximately 1,500 members, recently held its biannual election of officers and appointed additional members to serve on the board. Ostreko will represent the Professional Development Committee.

The newly elected and appointed members are set to serve on the board for two-year terms.

“The connections I have made through NAGAP have been instrumental in my career to support graduate students at KU. I have benefited from the many professional development opportunities that NAGAP provides, and I look forward to working with the rest of the board to build additional opportunities for colleagues to connect and share best practices in graduate enrollment management,” Ostreko said.

Ostreko oversees the Graduate Admissions unit, reviews processes within Graduate Studies and manages many of the events in Graduate Studies. She has a doctorate in educational leadership & policy studies from KU.

The mission of NAGAP is to engage and advance Graduate Enrollment Management Professionals by promoting excellence and collaboration through education, research and professional development.
