December ceremonies will recognize KU graduate students

LAWRENCE — Hundreds of graduate students at the University of Kansas will complete their degrees in December 2017. Recognition ceremonies across the KU campus will celebrate these fall semester graduates as the schools of Business, Education and Engineering host dedicated events to commend their achievements.

The spring Doctoral Hooding Ceremony will celebrate all students who complete a doctoral degree in the 2017-2018 academic year. Doctoral candidates from every school on the Lawrence campus and the KU Medical Center will be invited to participate. That ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at KU.

August and December 2017 doctoral graduates, as well as May and August 2018 doctoral degree candidates, are eligible to participate in the Doctoral Hooding Ceremony. Due to the large number of graduates and guests, registration is mandatory, and guests require tickets. Visit the Graduate Studies website for information about the registration process and tickets.

KU will also host an event at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 10 for College of Liberal Arts & Sciences undergraduates who have completed their degree.
