KPR staffers win broadcasting awards


LAWRENCE – Kansas Public Radio reporters, producers, commentators and staffers were honored when the Kansas Association of Broadcasters announced their 2015 awards this month.

The awards will be handed out at the KAB’s annual convention Oct. 18-20 in Lawrence.

“I’m glad the work of our staff has been recognized by the judges. We have a small team of reporters, editors and producers who put out great radio stories every day,” said J. Schafer, KPR news director. “Over the next year we’ll be working diligently to reclaim the ultimate prize: Station of the Year.”
