Military aircraft to fly over Lawrence campus Friday, Saturday in advance of football game
LAWRENCE – Military aircraft will fly over the Lawrence campus Sept. 26 and 27 in advance of this weekend’s football game between the University of Kansas and the University of Cincinnati.
First, between 11:30 a.m. and noon Friday, a team of four T-38 Talons will fly a practice run over David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
Then on Saturday at about 10:45 a.m., the aircraft will again fly over the stadium prior to the 11 a.m. kickoff between the Jayhawks and the Bearcats.
The flyovers will conducted by the 435th Fighter Training Squadron out of San Antonio, Texas.
