Military aircraft to fly over Lawrence prior to Nov. 28 football game
LAWRENCE — Military aircraft will fly over Lawrence prior to the Friday, Nov. 28, football game between the University of Kansas and the University of Utah.
A pair of A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft — commonly known as the "Warthog" — will fly over David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium about 10 minutes before the 11 a.m. kickoff between the Jayhawks and the Utes.
The flyover will be conducted by the 442nd Fighter Wing based out of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.
