Where to find inclement weather notifications for Lawrence, Edwards campuses

LAWRENCE — When inclement weather affects operations on the University of Kansas Lawrence and Edwards campuses, information about closings or delays is available in three ways:

·    On the KU Alerts page

·    On Twitter at @UnivOfKansas, the university’s main account

·    Via KU text message alerts, to which faculty and staff can subscribe and view/edit their cellphone number through the Employee Emergency Notification app at the myKU Portal.

In rare instances, if weather is substantially worse in Overland Park, the Edwards Campus may close and the Lawrence campus may not. Check Edwards Campus alerts for information specific to the Edwards Campus.

The university monitors weather predictions and makes decisions as soon as possible when the necessary information is available. The university’s winter weather policies and procedures have more information about this process.
