LAWRENCE – Summer camp isn’t just for the kids. The University of Kansas College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites adults interested in lifelong learning to register for Mini College 2014, which will be June 2-5.

Mini College is a weeklong program on the Lawrence campus developed by the KU College. Participants enroll in a variety of classes taught by diverse faculty from across KU. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to attend social events and explore the Lawrence community. Mini College welcomes all adults, not just KU alumni.

Participants will get to choose from a wide selection of courses, including natural sciences, art, mathematics, social and behavioral sciences, and the humanities. Space is limited for some courses and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration is $225, available online. Information about courses, schedule and activities during the week is also available online.

The registration fee covers courses, special events, extracurricular activities and most meals during the week. Accommodations have been arranged at special rates in the area for participants. For those looking for the full college experience, participants can even stay in student housing.

Mini College has been providing lifelong learners the opportunity to rediscover the student experience since the summer of 2009. Nearly 150 people attend each year from all over the country. All KU alumni and non-alumni are welcome to attend.
