Mini-symposium to showcase work of the School of Architecture & Design’s Research Collaboratives

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas School of Architecture & Design’s research centers and institutes are coming together to present their work at the Arc/D Innovation Collaborative from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Center for Design Research in KU’s West District.

This mini-symposium will provide a comprehensive view of the research and applied work of the school’s top design research collaboratives. The event — featuring an informational poster session followed by PechaKucha format presentations — will take place at the Center for Design Research’s classroom and conference center. This U.S. Green Building Council LEED Platinum-rated building was designed and built in 2010 through 2011 by students in Studio 804, which is one of the organizations that will be presenting their work at the event. The full list of participants is below:

The architecture & design school's research centers and institutes work closely with industry and community partners to spark innovation and improve communities by empowering students to solve real-world problems through hands-on discovery and practice. The Arc/D Innovation Collaborative will allow the KU community and wider public to experience the school’s collaborative research environment and interdisciplinary educational opportunities.
