Fair will feature internship, summer camp opportunities

LAWRENCE — The University Career Center at the University of Kansas is hosting its annual Internship and Summer Camp Fair from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, in the Adams Alumni Center, 1266 Oread Ave.

The event is open to all students interested in internship and summer camp opportunities. Attendance is free, and pre-registration is not required.

Students of all levels and majors are encouraged to attend to explore opportunities that can assist with career decision-making and marketability in today’s job search. More than 20 organizations with local, national and international opportunities in a variety of industries will be present.

A preparatory workshop today will precede the event: Making the Most of the Internship and Summer Camp Fair, 4 p.m.-5 p.m., Burge Union 110.

“Internship and summer camp experiences are extremely important in helping students add value to their resume and evaluate career fields,” said Erin Wolfram, assistant director at the University Career Center. “This event provides students with the opportunity to connect with a variety of employers to explore these important experiences.”
