Third candidate for architecture dean to give presentation Wednesday


LAWRENCE — The third of four candidates for dean of the School of Architecture, Design & Planning at the University of Kansas will give a public presentation from 9-10:15 a.m.. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at The Forum in Marvin Hall. Due to scheduling conflicts, there will not be a reception following the presentation.

Nan Goggin has been the director of the School of Art Design for seven years at the University of Illinois. Goggin co-founded the New Media program in the art design school;  Ninth Letter, an arts and culture magazine, served as an associate provost fellow and interim head of landscape architecture. She is also designated as an Illinois University Scholar, NCSA fellow, an Ifoundry and Center for Advanced Study fellow and is currently on the board of National Council of Arts Administration (NCAA) and on the Commission on Accreditation for NASAD.

Ann Brill, dean of the William Allen White School of Journalism & Mass Communications, led the search committee for the candidates. During their visit to campus, candidates will give a public presentation followed by a reception to provide the campus community an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the committee. Candidates will be announced 48 hours prior to their campus visit.
