Sandra Billinger, professor of physical therapy, rehabilitation science & athletic training, was selected by the board of directors for the World Health Organization in Switzerland for its "Women In Stroke" initiative celebrating the achievements and careers of outstanding women in the field for International Women's Day.
Aaron Carbuhn, assistant professor of dietetics & nutrition, received a 2022 Service Award from the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association. He was recognized during the association's annual conference May 16-18 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Melissa Greene-Blye, assistant professor of journalism, is the recipient of the Joseph McKerns Research Grant awarded by the American Journalism Historians Association. The grant will support travel and other research costs associated with an upcoming research project examining the historical context in which the Native press was founded and its work educating, informing and advocating for Native communities on issues of interest and import to those communities.
Maki Kaneko, associate professor of art history, been awarded a 2022-23 Terra Foundation Senior Fellowship in American Art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum to support her research project, “Collaged Memories: Jimmy Tsutomu Mirikitani's 'Sidewalk Art.'"
