University announces upcoming retirement luncheons

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas is planning two events this spring to honor retiring Jayhawk employees.

The Office of the Chancellor, the Office of the Provost and KU Endowment will host an annual Faculty and Academic Staff Retirement Luncheon at noon May 19 in the Kansas Union. Those who have retired since early August 2022 and will retire by Aug. 3, 2023, will be honored. This year, the honorees and a guest will be invited, as well as all previous retirees who live in the Lawrence and guest. Invitations will be sent the first week in April. Names of the retirees will be announced in early May.

University Support Staff and Unclassified Professional Staff retirees will be recognized at a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. May 12 in the Kansas Union Ballroom. Retiree invitations will be mailed in March. For more information about this luncheon, contact Melissa Cole at 785-864-7421 or mcole@ku.edu
