F-16 flyover planned at KU Homecoming game
LAWRENCE — Four F-16 aircraft are scheduled to fly over the University of Kansas at the Oct. 16 home football game.
The aircraft are from the 149th Fighter Wing out of San Antonio, Texas. Two F-16s will be piloted by KU graduates.
On Saturday, the Jayhawks will host Texas Tech University for the 109th annual Homecoming game, to be broadcast on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. The flyover is scheduled to occur at the conclusion of the national anthem, approximately 10 minutes prior to the 3 p.m. kickoff, at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
To prepare for the game, they will also pass over Lawrence and the stadium around 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15.
