KPR staffers win broadcasting awards
LAWRENCE – Kansas Public Radio reporters, producers, commentators and staffers were honored when the Kansas Association of Broadcasters announced their 2014 awards this month.
The awards will be handed out at the KAB’s annual convention, Oct. 19-21 in Wichita.
“The high quality of broadcast journalism we put out every day has been recognized again this year,” said J. Schafer, KPR news director. “We were unable to capture the biggest prize – Station of the Year – this time around, but we’ve won the top prize 15 of the last 19 years, and that’s not too shabby. It continues to be our goal every year.”
