KU Endowment board elects new trustees at 2024 annual meeting
LAWRENCE — At the Annual Meeting of the KU Endowment Board of Trustees on Oct. 18, two new trustees were elected. Each brings a wealth of experience to the board. Brief bios of the new trustees follow.
Lisa Howell Burch
Burch, of Lantana, Texas, earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies in 1992 from the University of Kansas. She spent nearly 25 years of her professional career in leadership and developmental roles with global biotechnology and life science companies, most recently as U.S. national sales director at Oxford Immunotec, a Revvity company. Burch has been engaged with the Chancellors Club, the Women Philanthropists for KU and the Far Above and Ever Onward campaigns in support of KU.
Peter S. Johnston
Johnston, of Salina, earned a bachelor’s degree in English in 1994 and a Juris Doctor in 1997 from KU. He is an attorney with Clark, Mize & Linville. Johnston formerly served on the KU School of Law’s Board of Governors and the KU Alumni Association’s board of directors. He is a longtime volunteer for Jayhawks for Higher Education and served many years with the Kansas Honor Scholars Program. Johnston is a Life Member of the KU Alumni Association and a member of the Chancellors Club.
