Public invited to KU Student Art Sale

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas will host a public art event and sale, showcasing the talent and creativity of students from the Department of Visual Art.

A Preview Night will take place 5-9 p.m. Dec. 13 and sale 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 14, both at the Off-Site Art Space, 924 Delaware St.

The free public event will feature a variety of artwork for sale, ranging from paintings and ceramics to prints and jewelry.

Each day will feature its own unique live demonstrations:

  • On Dec. 13, visitors can enjoy live portrait drawings by student artists, giving guests the chance to take home a one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn portrait. Friday attendees will also enjoy complimentary light refreshments as they browse the student artwork.
  • Dec. 14 will bring family-friendly fun with balloon animals available for kids and adults alike.
  • On both days, visitors can watch as students demonstrate live T-shirt printing; guests can bring their own shirts to print on or purchase one at the event.

The art sale is an opportunity to support student artists, find unique holiday gifts and engage with the creative community at KU.

All proceeds will directly support KU Visual Art students and clubs.
