Students will share original work at 2024 Fall Undergraduate Research Showcase

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas Center for Undergraduate Research & Fellowships (CURF) is hosting the annual Fall Undergraduate Research Showcase. The online event, featuring 44 presentations, will run from 8 a.m. Dec. 10 through 5 p.m. Dec. 12.

CURF encourages the KU community and general public to support students participating in undergraduate research by viewing the virtual presentations via the online Symposium ForagerOne platform. Anyone with a KU email address is encouraged to engage with presenters by posting comments or questions related to individual presentations.

“It is always inspiring to end the semester celebrating the impressive research and creative works of KU’s undergraduate students and research mentors,” said Erin Wolfram of the Center for Undergraduate Research & Fellowships.

A total of 66 students will present 44 individual and group poster and oral presentations in a variety of disciplines aligned with KU’s six Exploratory Pathways.

  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math): 15 presentations.
  • Languages & Cultures: 13 presentations.
  • Creative Arts & Design: Eight presentations.
  • Health & Behavioral Sciences: Five presentations.
  • Business, Communication & Leadership: Two presentations.
  • Education & Public Service: One presentation.

CURF will host the Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium from April 21-25 during Undergraduate Research Week. This event will include both online and in-person presentation components. Registration for the spring event will open in February.
