More than 120 employers to attend engineering, computer career fair

LAWRENCE — Engineering and computing students who want to connect with potential employers should plan to attend the Spring Engineering and Computing Career Fair.

The career fair runs from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, on the fifth and sixth floors of the Kansas Union. More than 120 companies and agencies are registered. Students should review the complete list of employers and study those of interest prior to the event.

Students can gather information about a wide variety of companies, network with industry representatives, and learn about potential internship and employment opportunities. Students should dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resume to share with prospective employers. For more on what to expect and what employers look for, watch this video from an earlier Engineering and Computing Career Fair.

The career fair is open to all KU students, but employers will primarily focus on making connections with students in engineering, computing and the hard sciences.

The Engineering Career Center, which organizes the event, has scheduled several activities to help students prepare for the career fair. A list of activities is available at the ECC office, 1001 Eaton Hall. Students are also invited to attend Trivia Game Night from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, in the Eaton Hall atrium. The event, co-sponsored by Engineering Student Council, provides engineering and computing students with an opportunity meet employers in a fun and relaxed setting. There will be trivia, free pizza, soda and door prizes.
